Betting the Highest AFL Odds
The example AFL odds above are taken from a random game and only highlights two bookmakers Pinnacle Sports and Luxbet. Depending on which way you were intending to bet the game would dictate which bookie you would use. If you liked Richmond on either the Head to Head Odds or the Line Handicap then you would be best of betting with Pinnacle Sports at $1.29 on the Head to Head and also -27.5 at $2.02 on the line. If your bets win you will profit an extra $4 or 4% (per $100 bet) on the odds and an extra $10 or 10% (per $100 bet) on the line. If you were looking to back Port Adelaide your best bet would be to punt with Luxbet and take the Power at $4.20 where if correct you would profit an extra $22 (per $100 bet) on the money line odds and an extra $4 (per $100 bet) on the line at +27.5 $1.92.
You can see that with a little effort comparing AFL odds and lines you can add to your bottom line. Scanning the odds will also sometimes uncover further betting opportunities such as middles, sides and arbs (scalp) which we will discuss in future articles.
